My general thoughts and reaction to Episode 6 of The Wheel of Time tv series on Amazon Prime
The Wheel of Time series has arrived on Amazon Prime. These are my general (spoiler-free) reactions to the latest episode:
EPISODE 6: THE FLAME OF TAR VALON
This was an interesting episode. There were some good parts, some questionable decisions, some expected changes, and some not-so-expected twists. Right now, I don’t know what to say. While I enjoyed the episode, overall, there were some disappointments with how they handled certain things. One element in particular kind of set me back. Still, I am not shaken from liking the series. It was great to see Loial again and there were a few touching moments. The cold open for this episode nearly had me in tears (no pun intended).
BONUS: AN OGIER’S LONGING
The Origin video alongside this episode was, perhaps, the weakest so far. I liked it, but it was slow to unfold (perhaps because it is “narrated” by an Ogier). Still, it was good information for those wishing to learn more about the world and, in particular, the Ogier.
We are down to two episodes left in the season. I am interested in seeing how it unfolds. This episode was not my favorite. But it was good nonetheless, despite some disappointments.
