Arri is the daughter of a hero on the island of Cretia. Her father fought in wars for the Temaran Empire to thwart a menace threatening the Empire. He later fought against a tyrannical usurper who threatened to bring the Empire down from within. Now, he lives a quiet life with his family.

Arri has a gift for magic. Soon, she will be in training to become a mage. However, secret forces are working to bring about great disaster to the world. And Arri soon finds herself at the center of a plot to further those designs.
